The Final Four is set as Loyola-Chicago, as the 11 seed is in the Final Four. They will play Michigan the three seed, and Villanova and Kansas will also play in the National Semifinal. What I thought before writing this is, is this the greatest Cinderella story? Well, I say no, because let’s compare them to George Mason, another 11 seed that made the Final Four. George Mason had to play the same seeds as Loyola-Chicago, except when they No.1 UConn and beat them to go to the Final Four. But George Mason handled these teams. The only one possession game was against UConn, the No.1. So this isn’t the greatest Final Four story, but it is one to remember. If they won it all, I’ll reconsider this.
In NBA news, the Trailblazers are in business, going 16-4 in their last 20 games. Last night, they held on against the Thunder to beat them by three, with help from C.J. McCollum as he scored 34 and hit the game winner. They are third in the Western Conference. Hello! Notice them. They have a big three in, Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum, and Jusef Turkic. They have great depth and have a Sixth Man of the Year candidate in Evan Turner. I’m putting out that this team is really good.
